Sales & Use Tax Rates Effective: April 1, 2019

Effective April 1st, 2019, select New Sales and Use Tax Rates in CA will increase. We advise checking the cities and county where your projects are located and check if that area’s sales tax has changed. The new rates will automatically update in Quickbooks Online, however, you will have to manually change your rates in Ivy to reflect the new rate.

We advise checking the CDTFA’s website on April 1st, 2019 for the new rate or checking out the CDTFA’s list of updated sale tax rates. To update the rate in Ivy, go to your account settings and select the tab titled Taxes. Within this tab, you can simply edit the sales tax rate to reflect the new amount. For assistance please communicate with your bookkeeper for clarification that you have the correct rate and that the rates are mapping over correctly to QBO.
